Review: Jimmy Choo Romy 100
People who are well versed in the fashion industry are familiar with designer shoe brands such as Manalo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, and Jimmy Choo. Some brands are much more comfortable to wear as compared to others. As my collection is starting to grow, I am beginning to have my biases with certain designer brands. I currently own two pairs of designer heels, the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato heels and the Jimmy Choo Romy 100 heels. If you'd like, you can check out my Louboutin review here.

FIT & STYLE
If you are looking for a classic pair of pointy pumps that will make you feel like a princess, this may be the one for you. I decided to go with the gold toned glitter pumps which complemented very well with my yellow undertone skin. I wanted a heel that exuded sexiness while looking classic, modern, chic, and put-together at the same time. There are many pumps out on the market that look similar if not identical. However, what differentiates Heel A from Heel B may be due to craftsmanship and quality. Heels vary in the toe box size, the amount of sole cushioning, the arch and the fit of the shoes, as wells as the length of the point. Not all pumps are created equal. I have been on the market for pointy pumps with a silhouette that complemented my feet and legs. After trying on many similar styles from different brands ranging from low to high end, these Jimmy Choo heels were the right fit for my feet. They felt snug and hugged my feet in all the right places.
The quality of these heels are impeccable. Every stitch, every seam, and every placement of the glitter was done with near perfection. You may find one or two glitter detached from the heels into the shoe box but that is completely normal. There may be times where you accidently rub the side of the pumps together while walking. However, because the heels are made with the highest quality and craftsmanship, I have not seen any glitter fall off from the shoes. Similar to Christian Louboutin heels, each pair of heels are like a piece of art and are handmade with exceptional care and attention to detail. Therefore, you may see minute differences from shoe to shoe.
Jimmy Choo shoes are based on European sizing guidelines. If you are a size 35 (which is a size 5 in the US) in heels, you may not be a size 35 in flats. In other words, sizing may be different across different shoe types at Jimmy Choo. The discrepancies in sizing may be due to the silhouette of the shoes and the materials used (patent, suede, canvas, etc.). Therefore, it is best to try on the shoes first before making the purchase.
For your reference: In the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato heels, I am a size 35 in European sizing. On the other hand I am a size 34.5 in the Jimmy Choo Romy heels. The smallest shoe size that Jimmy Choo stock are a size 34, which is a size 4 in US sizing.
WALKABILITY & COMFORTABILITY
Compared to the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato heels, these are by far the most comfortable heels in terms of walking in them. The upper glitter fabric is soft and conforming to the feet. Additionally, there is a good amount of cushioning on the sole of the shoes which allows the wearer to have a more comfortable "wearing" experience. The wide toe box and the arch of the heels also lends to the shoes' comfortability. To put it into perspective, I am able to walk in these heels for a good five hours whereas in the Louboutins, my feet start crying after two hours. Additionally, breaking into the Jimmy Choo heels may not be an issue as it requires little to no time at all.
